We interrupt your regular reward updates ‼️

We typically try to share a roundup of the brands and nonprofits we've added to the Bonusly Reward Catalog on a quarterly basis, but, of course, 2020 has been anything but typical.

Case in point: Bonusly users have donated more than $285,000 to the Australian Red Cross - Bushfire Relief, the WHO COVID-19 Response Fund, the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, and the Lebanese Red Cross - Beirut Disaster Relief so far this year. That's three times as much as they donated in 2019—and there are still four more months left in the year!

In the first few days of January 2020, with the bushfires in Australia making headlines, several Bonusly customers asked us to add the Australian Red Cross to the Bonusly Reward Catalog because their employees wanted to donate their Bonusly points to the relief efforts. We happily obliged and by the end of the month, Bonusly users around the world had donated over $20,000 to the Australian Red Cross.

Then came March 2020, the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the quick switch to remote work. Prompted again by our customers, including Acquia, we added the WHO COVID-19 Response Fund as a donation option to the international Bonusly Reward Catalog. In a little over six weeks, Bonusly users donated over $100,000 to the WHO COVID-19 Response Fund, eclipsing the total amount they donated to charity in all of 2019!

In June, as the protests that followed the police killings of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor brought necessary discussions about racial justice into our workplaces, our CEO Raphael Crawford-Marks announced that we would match $25,000 in user donations to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. In a little over a week, Bonusly users had already donated $67,040. 🤩 Together with Bonusly's $25K match, our community's donations to NAACP LDF exceed $131,000. 

At the start of August 2020, Bonusly users wrote in asking how they could help after an explosion rocked Beirut. By the end of the month, donations totaled over $17,000 for Lebanese Red Cross - Beirut Disaster Relief. 🤩🤩

So, no, 2020 hasn't been a typical year, but it hasn't been all bad!

If there's a brand or nonprofit you’d like us to add to the catalog, first check to see if it's in your country's Bonusly Reward Catalog. If the brand is in your country's default catalog but you don't see it in your company's catalog, ask your Bonusly admin about enabling that reward option.

If the brand isn't available in your country's default catalog, then send us an email at support@bonus.ly with the subject line "Rewards request" to get our attention! We can't guarantee that all your requests will make it into the Bonusly Reward Catalog—our rewards providers have specific requirements and we sometimes run into limitations with third-party APIs—but we'll try our best!

In the meantime, you can always add custom rewards to your company's catalog.
