USER EXPERIENCE

Participants find the platform hard to use.

Some Motivosity participants find it difficult to search old posts, find specific topics, or participate on the platform. For example, it may be hard to tell if they’ve already liked something, and some participants aren’t able to tag a person who provides them with feedback without giving that person reward dollars.

GLITCHES

Customers regularly experience tech problems.

In addition to poor communication features, customers experience outright tech glitches. There are plenty of examples of this. From snags in setting 1:1 dates, to technical problems that leave people unable to offer thanks, to producing monthly reports that don’t contain the expected data, and journal functions that “don’t seem to work properly,” the issues are wide-ranging. Some users describe the platform—and the mobile app— as “clunky.”

COACHING

Reviewers complain about one of Motivosity's key features: coaching.

It’s tough to coach without the right data! Reviewers’ complaints range from simple search issues that make it tough to add coaching feedback—like difficulty in searching for or adding to entries—to more complex issues, such as a lack of targeted channels. Some reviewers wished the items in the “Coaching” feature were editable or that the “Manager coaching” component could accommodate customized changes. One user still gets reminders to coach their old team, though they’re no longer listed as direct reports.
