‍Sajiri, what initially drew you to Bonusly, and why did you join the team?

What attracted me most to Bonusly was the team and its mission to make work more meaningful. This resonates deeply with me. Bonusly isn’t just about creating tools for workplace recognition—it’s about fostering happier, more connected teams across the globe.

Couldn’t agree with you more. I’d love to know: what has been your most meaningful or surprising experience since joining the team?

The people at Bonusly are incredible. From day one, I felt welcomed, supported, and valued. The culture here encourages authenticity, openness, and collaboration. My favorite part of the day is sending and receiving recognition through the Bonusly platform. It’s amazing to see how small gestures of appreciation can boost morale and strengthen team bonds. It’s also a great motivator for me to keep improving.

A day in the life 

What does a typical workday look like for you at Bonusly? 

I start my day by checking emails and Slack messages, then prioritize my tasks for the day. Right now, I’m focused on a big project in HubSpot. My work involves thoroughly reviewing and optimizing the properties within the platform. This means carefully examining each property to ensure all details are accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with our objectives. By enhancing these properties, I aim to improve their functionality and help our marketing and sales efforts. My goal is to make sure we’re leveraging HubSpot to its fullest potential, boosting operational efficiency and delivering better results.

As someone on the marketing team that directly feels the impact of your work, I’m grateful for all that you do. Which brings me to my next question: What’s your go-to hack for a productive workday?

Time management is key for me. I eliminate distractions—like avoiding social media or unnecessary phone use—and set clear boundaries with family and friends during work hours. Regular breaks also help me stay refreshed and avoid burnout. A quick walk or some music works wonders for keeping my energy up.

Reflection and advice

What advice would you give to someone considering joining Bonusly?

Every day here reminds me how fortunate I am to be part of a team that truly cares, collaborates, and celebrates each other's success. Bonusly as a company supports my aspirations with resources for learning and development. Whether it’s attending workshops, pursuing certifications, or engaging in cross-departmental projects, I feel encouraged to grow. For example, I had never worked with HubSpot before joining Bonusly, but with my team’s support and guidance, I completed my HubSpot certification! This not only helped me understand the system better but also gave me confidence in my ability to take on new challenges.

What excites you most about the future of Bonusly and your role in it?

Bonusly is constantly evolving, with a focus on innovation and growth. I’m excited about the potential to develop new features and expand the platform to better serve our users. Personally, I look forward to gaining new skills, tackling new challenges, and growing in my career. For instance, I’m keen to explore Revenue Operations and continue learning about systems. The supportive environment at Bonusly ensures there’s always room for growth and improvement.

What is your favorite Bonusly value, and why?

My favorite Bonusly company core value is Raise the Bar. This value inspires individuals and teams to aim higher and push their limits. It fosters collaboration, as everyone works together to achieve common goals and deliver their best work.

A recent example of this for me was completing my HubSpot certification. At first, I wasn’t sure if I could manage it, especially since I was learning a completely new system. But I embraced the challenge, and the experience reminded me how rewarding it is to step outside your comfort zone and succeed.
