Bonusly Users Have Sent 60 Million Pieces of Recognition to Peers
Achievement unlocked: Bonusly users have given more than 60 million pieces of recognition to one another.
60 million.
If each piece of recognition were a handwritten thank-you note and you stacked them up, the pile would reach over six miles high—about 23 times the height of the Empire State Building.
This enormous amount of employee recognition is driven by a workplace transformation that’s adapted to major technological and cultural shifts. Employees are more vocal about wanting to be recognized for their efforts, and employers are increasing their investment in robust recognition systems to improve employee engagement, company culture, and overall performance.
Today, Bonusly is the only employee recognition solution that improves performance by motivating teams, empowering managers, and simplifying HR. With Bonusly, organizations celebrate employee milestones, reward wins, connect teams, and drive performance.
More than 3,400 global organizations, including DoorDash, Toast, Seat Geek, and Magna-Tiles, use Bonusly’s employee recognition solution to meet the needs of the modern employee, who craves a deep sense of connection to their company, manager, and peers.
ICYMI: More milestones from the Bonusly team
To help our growing community of customers and users best navigate our new way of work, our team has been hard at work on a number of major initiatives, including product enhancements and new features.
Product announcements
In addition to our core offering of peer-to-peer recognition and rewards, Bonusly launched new product features designed to help with additional use cases: top-down recognition and performance management.
Today’s workforce wants to work at an organization whose mission and culture align with their values. Our new top-down recognition features were designed to better communicate organizational values and strengthen the relationship between an employee and their employer.
New features include:
- Celebrations are automated recognition of important employee milestones—like anniversaries and birthdays—that save HR teams time and foster employee belonging from day one. These moments are shared across the organization in the recognition feed, inviting others to celebrate, to ensure no milestone is missed.
- Announcements centralize important employee communications, letting admins draft, schedule, and share messages prominently on the platform’s homepage and across additional apps and channels. This feature helps employees see and engage with critical information, from new job postings to OKR reviews, all from a tool they know and love.
Today’s workforce also wants to receive real-time recognition for a job well done and meaningful, constructive feedback about how they can improve. People managers, for their part, also want to provide positive and constructive feedback—but often lack the time and tools to do so. With that in mind, Bonusly launched a suite of new performance management tools to empower managers and set individuals up for success.
Those performance management tools include:
- 1:1 templates and goals empower managers to have meaningful check-in conversations focused on relationship building and growth. The 1:1 template, with an integrated recognition and feedback feed, supports development discussions, goal tracking, and alignment, helping managers build stronger relationships with their reports.
- Performance recaps transform the traditional, and broken, performance management process by translating historical recognition and feedback trends into insights that kickstart growth conversations. Recaps provide the empirical evidence needed to add context and color to review cycles.
- Employee feedback enables employees to solicit constructive feedback directly in the Bonusly platform, empowering individuals to take charge of their growth. Managers can easily share feedback, too; all feedback is integrated into 1:1 agendas and recaps to provide managers with a holistic understanding of employee performance.
Company announcements
Lastly, amidst a year of exciting new features, the Bonusly team made a few other announcements as we work tirelessly to make work better, including key leadership changes and some inspiring acts of generosity by its users:
- Bonusly named former COO and long-time Bonusly user Charles Hough as our new Chief Executive Officer. Founder Raphael Crawford-Marks shared the story behind the transition, along with his move to Chief Technology Officer, in a post on LinkedIn. Radhika Samant, our former CFO, has stepped into the role of COO as part of the leadership changes.
- In October, Bonusly users donated more than $21,000 to the American Red Cross’s Hurricane Relief Fund to support communities impacted by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. We’ve extended this campaign until the end of November for Bonusly users who still wish to contribute.
The takeaway
We are grateful for every Bonusly customer who understands that caring for and meeting the needs of their employees is the key to success. Without you, we’d never reach this incredible recognition milestone.
